Director Of Educational Programs

As I am sure many of you are aware Kathy Letourneau, our Heritage Travel Director, has moved on from the Cheshire YMCA to pursue other opportunities. We at the Y thank Kathy for her service and dedication to our Heritage Travel Programs. The program would not be as solid and successful without Kathy’s years of service. We wish her the very best.

On April 27, we had the honor of congratulating Vernon Young on 40 years of exemplary volunteerism to the Cheshire YMCA. Forty years ago, Vernon started the New England Heritage Tours, which bring local 7th grade students to Boston, Plymouth, Cape Cod, Lexington, and Concord, Massachusetts. As part of the touring process, students learn about the birth of America, in a more hands on experience. Many people showed up to join in the celebration of Vernon’s 40 years of service, some of whom were members of the Cheshire YMCA Board of Directors, Senior Directors, current and past tour staff, and even some of Vernon’s former students. Thank you, Vernon! | See Facebook Photo Album

Artie brings an incredible amount of energy and passion, which I know the Cheshire Y will find invaluable as we continue into our future as a community service organization.
