Learn about American History:
- Individual research on a specific, tour-related topic.
Learn responsibility and team work, and a sense of community:
- Group presentation based on a tour site and individual research paper the group comes up with a creative way to present to the rest of the bus.
- World Service Project- decided on and done as a group to raise money for The Cheshire YMCA’s International Committee to help other YMCA’s in other countries.
Learn to compromise and to share:
- Students are put into study groups that compromise a mix of schools that are picked at random, they don’t get to chose their study groups. This way they develop relationships with students from other schools and don’t have a sense of going on a trip with a “bunch of strangers”. Often times, these are students that they will be attending high school with.
Work ethic:
High Expectations
- Students will take responsibility for their actions
- Attend all meetings – students call leaders if going to miss a meeting

- Best behavior. This tour will affect future tours.
- 1 adult leader who will go through the entire process with them and be their leader on tour.
- Ratio is 1 adult to every 6 students.
- The leaders are teachers, school administrators and parents- Many years traveling experience
